Wisconsin Better Business Bureau has released its top 10 small business scams. Lisa Schiller, BBB’s Lisa Schiller states that Business email compromise scam is basically an email phishing scheme. Schiller says that phony bills are problematic because the amounts tend to be small and not raise any red flags. According to Schiller, directory scams plague businesses since decades. Scammers pretend to be legitimate businesses to fool consumers. Scams include charity pitches, coupon booklets, phishing, office supplies, vanity awards, and overpayment.
