Neil Hartner is a former senior software engineer at Ripple labs. He has revealed the imbalance that persists in the USDC/XRP Automated Market Makers (AMM) Pool.
Hartner has recently revealed the technical details behind this phenomenon. He answered user questions and explained the AMMs’ functionality.

Hartner emphasized the interesting nature of USDC/XRP’s AMM pool. He attributed its imbalance to the occasional delays when minting USDC. The delay causes the USDC to be locked in the AMM pool. Arbitrageurs are then unable to correct the imbalance quickly.
Hartner, in response to user questions, explained that users’ poor decisions with unbalanced deposits led to the imbalance.
Hartner, in response to questions about the slightest deviations from the balance, clarified that minor differences indicate a mismatch between the AMM and exchange rates.
The feasibility of depositing a single asset into AMM was also discussed.
Hartner explained the multiple transaction process, which is possible via a DEX, followed by a deposit on both sides, but poses usability issues for users. Hartner says that the USDC/XRP pool is particularly interesting, as it constantly gets out of balance.

You can also find out more about the following: The XRP currency is a cryptocurrency that can be used to buy and sell goods. Ledger (XRPL) developers have introduced a crucial change to their AMM engine with the “fixAMMOverflowOffer” amendment. The update fixes the issue of container overflow that was identified following the launch of the engine, and ensures smoother operations for AMM pools at decentralized exchanges.
Neil Hartner’s insight into the USDC/XRP pool imbalance provides valuable clarity about the technical challenges that arbitrageurs and liquidity providers face. With the implementation of the “fixAMMOverflowOffer” amendment, the XRP Ledger continues to evolve, enhancing its functionality and resilience in the decentralized finance landscape.
