Tracey (Tre’) Arelious Bryant will be recognized as Minority Owned Small Businessperson of the Year at the Small Business Association Awards luncheon and SBA Exhibit galas on Thursday, May 2, 2020 at Twisted Tree Steakhouse Restaurant, Sunset Hills, MO.
Maureen E. Brinkley of the SBA St. Louis District Office said Bryant used VetBiz’s (Veterans Business Outreach Center), to grow and start his real estate investing firm, and to pivot towards a more advisory and educational model.
Bryant will be joined by:
Charles (Charlie M.) Downs Sugarfire Smokehouse in St. Louis, Small Business Person Of The Year. Downs used SBA loans for his restaurant chain to survive COVID and grow the business.
Jessica Beeson, Willow Tree Tutoring, LLC, St. Charles, Woman-owned Small Businessperson of the Year. Beeson used SCORE coaching from Score St. Louis Bi State Region to help grow her tutoring business.
Gavin Douglas Pringle is a Veteran-Owned, Small Business Owner. He works for JAKAPA in St. Louis. Pringle, who completed SBA Boots-to-Business training before leaving the Navy, used VetBiz Services in order to launch and grow his educational technologies company.
Laura Leister is a Small Business Advocate at Pieces, The Board Game Bar & Restaurant. Leister used SBA loan to keep her restaurant and cafe afloat while COVID. As a Community Improvement District commissioner, she serves the business community as well as being the director of Soulard Business Association.
Small Business Week of Eastern Missouri will be held from April 21 to May 11 during National Small Business Week, which runs April 28-May 4.
