CASSADAGA – Current and future entrepreneurs gathered in the village to promote and network local businesses. In the first week of this month, entrepreneurs and businesses from all over Cassadaga village attended an expo for small business at Valley Outdoors. This event was hosted by the Cassadaga Community and Business Alliance in collaboration with the Small Business Development Center of Jamestown Community College.
Valley Outdoors in Cassadaga, 16 S. Main St. was the venue for this event, which brought together vendors and potential business owners from all over Cassadaga. Valley Outdoors is also the host for the Village Welcome Center, which was recently established.

The Small Business Development Center offers free small business advice to entrepreneurs to start or grow a business.

Other organizations that were featured in the event included the Small Business Administration (SBA), Pursuit Lending and Southern Tier West. Chautauqua County, Chautauqua County, IDA and Chautauqua Workforce Development Board. Super Duper Catering provided food for the event, and Taylor & Tonic supplied drinks.
It was a very positive experience. “We were blessed with beautiful weather, delicious food and drinks, and an enthusiasm for supporting businesses.” Cassadaga local Judith Garncarek.
Susan Asquith, founder of the Cassadaga Community and Business Alliance, called it an event. The “great success” Courtney Curatolo, her team and the Small Business Development Center were thanked for their work. Asquith, Curatolo and the Chautauqua Planning Board were the ones who came up with this idea.
The event was a great success, with CCBA members and team, business owners and friends coming together to support the community. “This is what we need to focus on in order to make our businesses, residents and visitors flourish.” Asquith stated.
