Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance will hold a meeting at Bankhead Theater, Livermore on May 2 from 10 am to 12 pm on “State of Housing in Tri-Valley for Vulnerable Communities”.
Jonathan Russell, Director of Alameda County Health Housing and Homelessness Services and Michelle Starratt (Deputy director, Alameda County Community Development Agency) will present on housing issues for the elderly, youths in “transitional age”, 16-25 years old, people with disabilities and homeless.
Panelists from nonprofit leaders will discuss trends, strategies that have worked, and community needs. Interfaith Housing will be represented by representatives of City Serve of the Tri-Valley (Open Heart Kitchen), Sunflower Hill and Goodness Village.
TVNPA is a regional convener that offers support and advocacy for nonprofits. The meeting was described as a “call to action” for “all stakeholders to unite in the battle against poverty and homeless in the Tri-Valley region.”
