PERRY (Ga.) — AgGeorgia has committed $50,000 in order to help non-profits in their efforts and promote the future of Georgia agriculture. Community Mission Fund grants are awarded based on applications. Grants of up to $5,000 per year can be given per organization. Fund was established in 2023. It funded 12 organisations last year.
Fund mission: to create strong alliances and partnerships, while leveraging resources, to promote and preserve farmers, rural families and communities. Fund has two primary objectives: invest in agriculture’s future and improve the rural quality of living. Georgia. For an organization to be eligible for funding, its values and mission must match the fund’s. In order to be considered for funding, an organization must submit a proposal detailing the project that will receive the grant.
Corey Cottle said, “We’re excited for the second year of our Community Mission Fund,” CMO at AgGeorgia farm credit. The organizations that received grants in 2023 did some incredible things. We are excited to see what the next recipients will accomplish.
Applications for grants will be accepted until June 30, 2024. For organizations to qualify, they must be within the area of 79 counties where AgGeorgia farm credit conducts its business.
