Three prospective companies could add more than 500 new jobs to Colorado.

On April 18, the Economic Development Commission of New York approved $5.4 Million in incentives to attract a technology company, an energy storage system manufacturer and a wind turbine parts company.
The Colorado Office of Economic Development and Trade offered two packages that were based on the regular state incentives for job growth. However, one package code-named Project Eleven sought an incentive matching the Colorado state level from them. This project was for a manufacturer of energy-storage systems based on sodium-ion batteries. Commerce City provided incentives worth just under $1 million and the OEDIT Strategic Fund sought to match that amount.
Landon Mossburg, a representative from the company, told the commissioners that the startup company does not anticipate being profitable soon and therefore chose to pursue incentives unrelated to tax credits.
Mossburg, the co-founder and CEO of Denver’s Peak Energy, is also named Mossburg. The greentech company launched last year in stealth mode with $10 million of funding.
