In March, Horsham, Pennsylvania-based Turn 14 It opened its largest and fourth distribution center in Indiana, which allows it to offer 1-day delivery to 60 percent of Americans and 2-day service for 100 percent. The company also offers global shipping.
This company, whose name is derived from the 14th and final turn of the 4,05-mile Road America Racetrack, located in Elkhart Lake (Wisconsin), where both professional and amateur racers push the limits of their high-performance vehicles and driving abilities, focuses on accelerating fulfillment and delivery to physical and online retailers.
Turn 14 has integrated the product catalog, as well as related applications into the ecommerce platforms of its merchant clients to provide them with up-to-date product information and images. The distributor’s network is growing and includes more than 300 different suppliers. Turn 14 not only handles auto parts, but also parts for all-terrain vehicle and motorcycles.
The distributor merged its technology last fall with X-Cart – an ecommerce system that targets the aftermarket automotive industry. Turn 14 clients can now access a variety of services, including automated pricing, product catalogues, stock updates and drop-shipping.

Online upgrades will continue
Ziegler said Turn 14 would continue upgrading its internet connection to merchants, “to make it easier for them find the products and data that they require to be able to market our products. It’s mutually advantageous.”
When the customers of merchants buy via an ecommerce system like X-Cart, which is integrated with Turn 14 “they are more likely to return and purchase more.”
X-Cart states that the integration with Turn 14 Distribution gives auto parts retailers “precise ordering and detailed product information”, which enhances supply-chain processes and improves customers’ online buying experience.
X-Cart has recently integrated its ecommerce software with Amazon.com. This allows online sellers to extend the product listings from X-Cart onto an Amazon shopfront. X-Cart integrates also with industry data organisations.

X-Cart, at the SEMA Show last year, which is the annual conference and exhibition of the automotive industry association, announced its integration with ASAP Network and AutoSync Corp.
