The Philadelphia 76ers had their chances on Sunday against the New York Knicks. Needing a win to even the series at 2-2 before it shifts back to Madison Square Garden, the game was in the balance in the fourth quarter. Both teams exchanged some body blows, but in the end, the Knicks walked out of the Wells Fargo Center with a 97-92 win. The Sixers are now facing elimination.
Jalen Brunson led New York with 47 points and 10 assists on the afternoon and destroyed any type of defensive scheme the Sixers came up with. New York grabbed seven offensive rebounds for 11 second-chance points in the fourth quarter and out-hustled the Sixers when it mattered most.
Joel Embiid had 27 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists, Tyrese Maxey had 23 points, six rebounds, and six assists, Kelly Oubre Jr. had 19 points, and Tobias Harris had 10 and eight rebounds.

It has happened in all 3 losses of Sixers-Knicks. The Sixers are now a +34 with Embiid in 161 minutes on the floor and -37 without him in 31 minutes this series. pic.twitter.com/iArV5H4Kba

The good news: They could have roughly $65M in cap space this summer, and a ton of other teams will likely be eyeing major shakeups after their own disappointing playoff runs.
Time to make good on that.

The point differential between the two teams through the series games is four. Four total points.
