MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Montgomery County volunteers will be giving out free Pride decals to any county businesses and nonprofits with storefronts that want them.
County officials said that the decals showcase designs from last year’s “Show Your Pride!” contest — Vinnie Yankowski, who lives in Bethesda, and David Spengeler, who used to live in Silver Spring, created the winning designs.
The decals also have a QR code that links to a website with information about LGBTQ+ events and resources in Montgomery County.
If any business or nonprofit wants one of the decals, they can request one online.
“These decals are a symbol of who we are as a community—everyone is welcome here, and there is no place for hate. I encourage businesses to order them for their places of business and display them proudly,” County Executive Marc Elrich said in a news release.
