Launch targeted for 11 a.m. Wednesday
KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. – SpaceX plans to send another Falcon 9 rocket into space Wednesday from the Space Coast.
SpaceX is targeting 11 a.m. Wednesday for a mission to send 23 Starlink satellites into orbit. The Falcon 9 rocket will lift off from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center.
This is the second Starlink launch in about three days. SpaceX sent a Falcon 9 rocket into orbit on Monday.
Weather is very good for launch, according to the 45th Space Wing, with the forecast showing only a 10% chance that weather will delay the launch.
If something happens there are backup opportunities Wednesday until about 2:42 p.m., with additional opportunities on Thursday starting at 10:16 a.m.
Following stage separation, the first stage of the rocket will land on a droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
Whenever the launch happens, News 6 will stream it live.
