The City of Fitchburg recently announced the 2024 Healthy Neighborhood Grant Program funding awards to the following nonprofit entities:
- Allied Food Pantry – Good Shepherd Lutheran Church – $6,000
- Badger Prairie Needs Network – $13,000
- Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Dane County – $12,000
- Boys and Girls Club of Dane County – $9,000
- Catholic Multicultural Center – $14,000
- Centro Hispano of Dane County – $4,000
- JustDane – Allied Dunn’s Marsh Neighborhood Associate – $1,500
- Latino Academy of Workforce Development – $14,000
- Madison Reading Project – $14,000
- Omega School – $6,000
- River Food Pantry – $13,000
- Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin – $10,000
- The Road Home Dane County – $11,500
- Tri 4 Schools – $10,000
Funding awards from the program in 2024 total $138,000. These funding awards will advance the City’s Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative (HNI), focusing on a variety of topics in four northern Fitchburg neighborhoods including adult education, youth mentoring, workforce development, neighborhood engagement and community-building, and food security.
