CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – This weekend in Casper, a competition for a good cause. One man is gearing up to host his fifth annual bike and car show and swap meet benefitting a local non-profit. This year proceeds are going to Never Forgotten 77, whose mission is to spread hope to those affected by suicide.
After years of coordinating fundraisers, Robert “Biker Bob” Eldredge began to notice how the missions of many non-profits intersect.
He says, “When I started doing my bike shows, I would find a group that needed help. Mainly it was children, veterans and homeless, all of them can be the same person.”
Biker Bob chose to benefit Never Forgotten 77 this year in honor of a friend he had recently lost to suicide.
The event will feature a bike and car show, a swap meet, a pin-up girl contest and a poker run.
The competitions each have a ten dollar entry fee, and all funds raised will assist Never Forgotten 77′s mission to provide community-wide prevention, postvention, and awareness surrounding suicide.
The event will take place this weekend from 9 am to 2:30 pm at the Horseshoe Bar and Grill.
