The Republic of Ireland has joined Norway and Spain in announcing it will recognise a Palestinian state.
Taoiseach (Irish PM) Simon Harris said Wednesday’s move was an important step.
He added he was “confident” other countries would follow suit.
Israel has criticised the announcement and claimed Ireland’s move would encourage terrorism.
