This Week in Twitter is a look at some of the week’s best and most entertaining tweets from Buckeyeland and beyond.
Earlier this week, Ohio State commemorated the season opener sitting just 100 days beyond the horizon. We’re now at 98. And counting.
The Countdown begins pic.twitter.com/jvM8z7dw79
— Ohio State Football (@OhioStateFB) May 23, 2024 And when the season does finally arrive, PFF College reminds us – well really, the college football world outside the great state of Ohio – that a healthy Emeka Egbuka is a handful.
— PFF College (@PFF_College) May 22, 2024 Of course those wackos also think there are three Big Ten running backs better than TreVeyon Henderson and six better than Quinshon Judkins.

— PFF College (@PFF_College) May 18, 2024 Henderson, Egbuka and Gee Scott Jr. attended the Walk By Faith community event at nearly Upper Arlington High School to connect with young people and share testimony. Whether that’s your bag or not, you have to love these guys supporting today’s youth.

— thewalk (@accessthewalk) May 18, 2024 Marvin Harrison Jr, the No. 4 pick in the recent NFL Draft, made it official in signing his Arizona Cardinals rookie contract this week. The signing also finally paved the way for fans to secure his NFL jersey.
All smiles from @MarvHarrisonJr today! pic.twitter.com/BnyMIrBRj6
— Arizona Cardinals (@AZCardinals) May 24, 2024 Harrison’s teammate, former Buckeye Paris Johnson Jr., is also getting his feet wet in the league – at a new position. After playing right tackle as a rookie in 2023, Paris is set to make the move to left tackle which is obviously where he earned All-American honors while playing for Ohio State.
— Arizona Sports (@AZSports) May 20, 2024 Another former Buckeye, Slender Bin Victor’s out here catching touchdowns from Adrian Martinez for the UFL’s 8-0 Birmingham Stallions.
Sit back and watch all five touchdowns for @MartinezTheQB here pic.twitter.com/WtlUdTPd8V
— B2B CHAMPIONSTALLIONS (@USFLStallions) May 19, 2024 Fellow former Buckeye wide receiver Johnnie Dixon approves of Victor’s play. The Stallions apparently have a bevy of pass catchers as Victor slots 7th on the team with 11 grabs and 134 yards. Last week’s touchdown was his first of the season. ICYMI, Marcus Baugh is a tight end for the Stallions.
My brotha! https://t.co/fB54iks1cV
— Johnnie L. Dixon III (@YoungKing_JD5) May 19, 2024 Staying on the topic of former Buckeyes trying to stick in the professional ranks, former OSU punter Drue Chrisman was cut by the Stallions. In typical Chrisman fashion, he chronicled the tough scenario.
Another chapter in the journey pic.twitter.com/17CyXKPxTC
— Drue Chrisman (@DChrisman91) May 21, 2024 In reaction to at least one response to a comment suggesting it was embarrassing to film getting cut (for the ninth time in his pro career), Chrisman offered some healthy perspective and some humor to boot.

— Drue Chrisman (@DChrisman91) May 21, 2024 Hopefully he can catch on with another squad soon.
And here’s C.J. Stroud doing C.J. Stroud things.
— PFF (@PFF) May 21, 2024 Switching sports but sticking with the professional ranks, former Buckeye basketballer Mike Conley Jr. continues to enjoy success in the NBA as a 17-year veteran. In year two with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Conley helped the Wolves upset the reigning NBA champion Denver Nuggets and advance to the Western Conference Finals. Nikola Jokic, the reigning NBA MVP and Nuggets leader, had high praise for Conley after watching Denver’s season come to an abrupt end.

— Ohio State Hoops (@OhioStateHoops) May 20, 2024 A lesser-heralded former Buckeye hooper, the formidable Amedeo Della Valle, stays splashing triples over in Italy.
Amedeo Della Valle is the new leader for the number of three pointers scored in the history of Brescia with 112 triples. #BuckeyePro | #GoBucks

— The Ohio State Hoops Insider (@OSUHoopsInsider) May 20, 2024 Rock me, Amedeo.
The hype around EA’s College Football 25 has been on tilt for the last week as trailers and other tidbits about the video game continue trickling out. The Ohio State-centric vid for the game sees Jim Tressel steal the show with an eloquent quote.
I cant believe, God gave me a chance to be a Buckeye!!! @JimTressel5 https://t.co/mkib8EfDqB
— James Laurinaitis (@JLaurinaitis55) May 23, 2024 Salute, Senator.
Kirk Herbstreit can be a bit of a lightning rod around these parts and College GameDay is pretty much unwatchable these days especially during Corso segments but you have a cold, dead heart if you can’t appreciate how Herbie has bonded with and tries to look after his aging show sidekick.
— Brandon Saho (@BrandonSaho) May 23, 2024 Keeping the good vibes going, here’s Sonny Styles and his brother Lorenzo supporting the Huckleberry House.
Blessed to be in the position to give back to an amazing cause! If you would like to join the fight click the link below or in my bio. Appreciate all the support so far!https://t.co/zeBSibGr4J pic.twitter.com/b5Krx0fib3
— sonny (@sonnystyles_) May 21, 2024 The brothers will again participate in the Sleep Out which this year will be on May 31 at Lower.com field.
Looks like Ohio State women’s hockey will continue to be elite.

— Ohio State Women’s Hockey (@OhioStateWHKY) May 20, 2024 C’mon, Buckeye brass, find a more suitable venue for Muzerall’s program to play.
Let’s close out with this banger.
The LOWEST flyover ever
Before #20 Iowa hosted #9 Ohio State in 2010, the game saw one of the lowest and loudest flyovers in CFB history.
The jets were:
16 feet above the press box
58 feet above the scoreboard
176 feet above the field pic.twitter.com/PA4iBuBj1h
— CFB Kings (@CFBKings) May 19, 2024 Maverick done buzzed the tower.
Oh and happy anniversary to Jesse Owens setting four world records in 45 minutes in Ann Arbor back in 1935.
