KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo is gearing up for a revved-up car show for a good cause.
The Corvette Crew is hosting their first car show in Michigan geared towards kids, called Cars for Kids.
Comprised of over 135 Corvette owners from a multitude of states, the crew shows off their sweet rides to make a positive impact on younger community members.
“…we see a lot of our youth making bad decisions. So what we’re trying to do is allow them the opportunity to see people in the community that do care…We want to be role models,” said William Hawkins, a member of Corvette Crew.
Car shows hosted by the Corvette Crew typically bring around 200 to 300 cars, from C3’s to C8’s.
Tickets are $20, and proceeds benefit local nonprofits Charlie’s P.L.A.C.E. and Action Matters.
Those wishing to show off their rides can enter the show for $25, and aren’t limited to Corvettes; people with motorcycles or other rides are allowed to enter.
The car show will also feature food, vendors, and prizes for categories like best dressed cowboy and cowgirl, and best car.
