The Madera Tribune CFO Nancy Simpson displays a statue of a Viking that is available for auction. Proceeds will benefit the buyer’s choice of a local charity.
In a couple of weeks, I will be writing about service clubs, charities and non-profits. Each issue, I will choose a local non-profit and give some information about the organization; who they are, what they do, how they get their funding, and how our community can help them. I strongly believe that service and non-profit organizations give character to our community.
I am doing a bit of a kickoff for this series, by offering an activity for the readers to help some non-profit organizations.
This week, I am presenting an auction item, up for bid, and the proceeds will go to the buyer’s choice of a local charity.
