QUINCY, Ill. (KHQA) — Today around Adams County, businesses came together in United Way’s annual Day of Caring.
17 partnering agencies with United Way of Adams County went around the county to help nonprofits with cleaning, painting, or landscaping.
United Way of Adams County Executive Director Jenna Hull says that the event helps organizations make their businesses look good if they don’t have the funding to do so.
“All those little extra things help them save money and help them make their budgets. To have a community like we do that really wants to serve and help these nonprofits out is truly amazing,” Hull said.
Hull says that the event this year had a two-business improvement, with 15 businesses helping out at last year’s event.
United Way hopes the nonprofits helped out today will continue to thrive in the community.
