STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — – Lori Hesterhagen-Ficarra, a realtor at DiTommaso Real Estate, is shouting news about The Giving Back Project, an initiative aimed at supporting local not-for-profits through partnerships with Staten Island restaurants.
Hesterhagen-Ficarra has spearheaded the project to foster a spirit of giving and collaboration within the community. Beyond her real estate expertise, she is committed to giving back through various charitable endeavors, particularly in support of animal rescue organizations.
The Giving Back Project enlists local restaurants to donate a portion of their proceeds to various charitable organizations. This initiative not only supports the work of the not-for-profits, but encourages community members to dine out locally and contribute to meaningful causes.
Hesterhagen-Ficarra has also been creating and printing the flyers that go out on pizza boxes, so that dogs and cats can get adopted.
Also on board at Mangia Pizzeria and Ristorante was Dan Ryan as part of the GRACE Foundation’s “Dan on the Street,” a community segment to provide inclusion for GRACE participants.
“It’s great seeing Lori inspire others to do good,” said Ryan. “The donations from the restaurants give back to various not-for-profits on Staten Island. The Mom and Pops on Staten Island always go above and beyond to support their community.”
