SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Rotary Club of Southeast Springfield announced a new funding program Thursday, May 16, that will now give roughly $30,000 each year to qualifying nonprofits.
Steve Rice, Board Chairman for the Rotary Club of Southeast Springfield, explained the club raised more than half a million dollars over 8 years with the goal to distribute extra funding to nonprofits that apply for its endowment. Laura Farmer, Executive Director for CASA of Southwest Missouri, and Bonnie Keller, President of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks, both spoke to Daniel Posey about how their organizations have benefited from Rotary Club’s dedicated to donate each year to local charities.
