On Tuesday, Madden, the legendary football video game franchise, made a highly anticipated announcement. For the upcoming 2025 edition of the video game, Madden announced San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey would be the cover athlete for Madden 25.
McCaffrey will be the first member of the 49ers in history to grace the cover of the video game.
McCaffrey’s appearance on the cover has created a debate regarding the “Madden curse.” A curse that the player who is on the cover of the video game is bound to have a disappointing season.
