TOKYO — People in Japan are flocking to China’s commemorative silver coins featuring giant pandas at a time when the price of gold keeps reaching new highs.
The silver panda coins, issued annually, started showing prominent sales growth in Japan around 2020, according to Noguchi Coin, a Fukuoka-based precious metal import company.
