CAYCE, S.C. (WCSC) – The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has awarded $4.2 million in grants to nonprofit organizations in six states, including South Carolina.
In total, $800,000 in grants have been awarded to more than 100 South Carolina nonprofits by the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation.
President of Dominion Energy South Carolina Keller Kissam says Dominion’s efforts to support South Carolina nonprofits go beyond grant money.
“While it means a lot to help them carry out their mission through financial donations, it means even more when our employees can volunteer to be boots on the ground with these groups that are making a big difference every day for our neighbors in the communities we serve,” Kissam said.
Some South Carolina nonprofits that have received grant money from Dominion Energy include Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Low Country, Meals on Wheels of Summerville and Sea Island Habitat for Humanity.
Dominion Energy will open applications for the next round of grants on Aug. 1, with funding available to organizations in South Carolina and other states where Dominion operates. Those interested can apply at DominionEnergy.com.
