The El Pomar foundation has awarded $173,500 dollars to 21 nonprofit organizations throughout Northern Colorado, including several Longmont and Boulder organizations.
In Longmont, the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center received $10,000 from the Sally Beck Fund for the direct care of its horses. Similarly, the Medicine Horse Program received money from the Sally Beck Fund granting them $3,500 for care of its horses. Good Life Refuge received $5,000 from the Hambrick Fund to care for its animals.
In Boulder, Front Range Freedom Rescue Inc. received $5,000 from the Hambrick Fund to care for rescue animals. The Humane Society of Boulder Valley Inc. received $10,000 from the Hambrick Fund for its adoption services.
The grants are also being allocated towards education by giving $5,000 to the University of Colorado Boulder Presidents leadership class.
