SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) – Starbucks and Chick-fil-A are building new locations in south Sherman.
Chick-fil-A is set to break ground on its new location soon with an opening date around October 2025 or sooner.
In Monday’s meeting, Sherman City Council could approve a tax rebate for the popular chicken restaurant to get 50% of its sales tax back after two years.
The new Starbucks has been under construction for several months and is expected to open by the end of summer.
The two restaurants will be joining the city’s second Chipotle and Whataburger off of the US Highway 75 Southbound Frontage Road.
Both chains have free-standing locations near Sherman Town Center.
Starbucks also has a store inside Target and Albertsons.
