CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — It’s a record-breaking year for a Valley nonprofit that raises money for fellow nonprofits!
Dozens of people gathered to celebrate the Chandler Compadres Give Day. This year, they presented a giant $2.3 million check!
The money will be distributed to local nonprofits that serve children and families in the East Valley. A million dollars will go to the Boys and Girls Club, and 15 other charities will receive grants.
The Compadres began over 40 years ago with fewer than 20 members. Currently, there are more than 100 members working year-round to raise money for other organizations.
The group donates their time, resources, talent and money to help the youth and their families who live in Chandler and surrounding cities.
Since 1980, the Compadres have raised over $18.3 million, and that’s Something Good!
