Driven by retail (+6% compared to one percent growth in wholesale) but especially by e-commerce (+18%), Antony Morato closed the first quarter of 2024 with sales of €30.2 million, up 3% compared to the same period last year.
The double-digit increase in online sales is a direct result of its commitment to digital innovation and creating a high-quality shopping experience for customers, as the company explained.
Between the end of 2023 and early 2024, they activated a project focused on the marketplace channel that is now bearing fruit.
As for physical distribution, the company’s 6% retail growth was helped by the expansion in Latin America with the fourth single-brand store in Colombia, which opened in Cali in March. Other international projects are in the pipeline.
Wholesale, which closed the period under the banner of substantial stability, was affected by supply chain difficulties, which caused many deliveries to be delayed until the second quarter. “These delays represent only a shift in the channel’s results over time, which is expected to perform better in the first half of the year,” the company explained.
The first quarter saw the launch of the communication initiative The Sound of Unity: a contest dedicated to DJs and producers, which strengthened the brand’s proximity to the world of electronic and clubbing music, gathering more than 500 entries in the first three months. Among these young talents, some were selected and played live at Secret Parties organized by Antony Morato in Milan, Madrid and Naples.
Closing the circle will be an event scheduled at Stazione Leopolda in Florence during next Pitti Uomo. For that occasion, the contest finalists will perform, with the support of artistic director Lele Sacchi and ambassador Andrea Oliva.
“The Sound of Unity demonstrates our commitment to connecting with our community in new and meaningful ways, going beyond just selling clothing and hosting experiences to remember,” said Lello Caldarelli, CEO, Antony Morato.
“The quarterly results are a testament to our ability to adapt quickly to market needs and continue to offer high-quality products that meet customer expectations,” he added.
