ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Baristas at two metro Atlanta Starbucks locations have filed for a union election.
The baristas at locations in Roswell and Alpharetta have filed for elections with Starbucks Workers United, a union founded in 2021.
The locations are at Holcomb Bridge & Holcomb Woods in Roswell and North Point & Haynes Bridge in Alpharetta.
“Joining this union is our collective effort to keep the best interest of the partners who generate the profit for this company,” Roswell barista Emilia Dodson said.
“After many months of asking for help, following the company policy, it has become clear upper management didn’t hold these values at their core. So we stand together wanting only to continue creating a stable, safe and happy workplace,” said Alpharetta shift supervisor Danielle Stolton.
Five metro Atlanta Starbucks locations are already affiliated with Starbucks Workers United: the locations at Ansley Mall, Perimeter Mall and I-75 and Howell Mill Road in Atlanta; Crabapple Road and Houze Road in Alpharetta and Tara Boulevard and Mt Zion in Jonesboro.
