Each of the 15 districts ensured that this work was executed with care, dedication, and diligence.” Their efforts not only had a positive impact on their communities but they also created a ripple in the region that extended far beyond our walls. It is a pleasure to be able to collaborate with them.”
Carin Wharton of The Good Samaritan Mission, Danville said that her organization was thankful for the grant money awarded by The Good Samaritan Mission to its Many Hands Helping Others : Kids Food and Bed Progam.
Wharton stated that the grant would support their Many Hands Helping Others program, which provides food bags for students who are experiencing food insecurity as well as beds for those children without adequate sleeping spaces.
According to Marissa Crames, the program coordinator of Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association’s Vernal School Environmental Education Partnership, a $750 grant will be used to improve accessibility.
Crames stated that the money would be spent on all-terrain wheel chairs to increase access to natural areas in the Montour Preserve. We are proud that youth from Danville chose our cause to support.
