CITY. A FUNDRAISER TO GIVE BACK TO THE YOUTH AND COMMUNITY. WE RIGHT HERE OFF OF BELVEDERE AVENUE. THIS SPECIFIC EVENT IS FOR THE KIDDOS OUT THERE BUSTING A MOVE. ALSO, THEY CAN JUST HAVE SOME FUN AND BE KIDS ON THIS SATURDAY. I LOVE SEEING THE CHILDREN BE CHILDREN. A HUGE REASON FOR THE GIVING BACK TO OUR YOUTH FUNDRAISER IN NORTHWEST BALTIMORE. I LOVE TO SEE THE CHILDREN OFF THE STREETS SOMEWHERE SAFE AND ENJOYING THEMSELVES. MUSIC, A TALENT SHOW AND GAMES ALL TO PROVIDE A FUN TIME FOR THE KIDS WHILE ALSO RAISING FUNDS FOR LOCAL NONPROFITS WHO SERVE THE COMMUNITY. ONE OF THOSE GROUPS IS WOMEN EMPOWERING WOMEN IN NEED OF SUPPORT. OTHERWISE KNOWN AS WE WINS. WE DON’T HAVE ANY GOVERNMENT FUNDING, BUT WE DO IT OUT OF OUR OWN POCKETS. UM, WE DO IT BECAUSE WE LIKE GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY, JUST GIVING BACK BECAUSE WHATEVER WE RAISE, WE’RE PUTTING BACK IN, LIKE TOMORROW WE’LL BE HERE AGAIN, GIVING AWAY FOOD, JUST OUR YOUTH OR JOY BALTIMORE, WHICH WORKS TO COMBAT YOUTH HOMELESSNESS. COMMUNITY OUTREACH GROUP PURPLE KISS STUDIOS AND BALTIMORE SISTERS, WHO RUNS MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS FOR YOUNG WOMEN AND GIRLS, ALSO HELPED PUT ON THE EVENT. IT’S LIKE A LOT OF NEGATIVITY GOING ON ON TV AND SOCIAL MEDIA, SO IF THEY CAN BE AT POSITIVE EVENTS AND BE AROUND POSITIVE ADULTS, POSITIVE MENTORS, THEY’LL BE POSITIVE WITHIN THEMSELVES. A LOT OF TIMES THERE ARE A LOT OF NEGATIVE STORIES, BUT TO COME OUT AND SUPPORT AN ORGANIZATION THAT’S DOING SOMETHING GREAT FOR THE COMMUNITY AND FOR OUR KIDS IS AWESOME. ON A MISSION TO HELP SUPPORT THOSE IN NEED AND ALLOW A SAFE SPACE FOR CHILDREN TO BE CHILDREN. WHEN WE’RE OUT HERE TRYING TO REDUCE GUN VIOLENCE IN THE NEIGHBORHOODS. SO SO WE NEED MORE RECREATION CENTERS AND JUST PLACES FOR CHILDREN TO GO AND BE CHILDREN. AND SO THAT’S WHY WE’RE HERE. WE’RE COLLECTIVELY DOING THIS TOGETHER BECAUSE IT TAKES A VILLAGE. AND I’M TOLD BY WE WINS THAT THEY DO HAVE THESE EVENTS SEVERAL TIMES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. SO WE’LL BE SURE TO KEEP YOU POSTED ON TH

We need more recreation centers and just places for children to go and be children.
